Emerald Coast Theatre Company’s Educational Program Presents Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion

Miramar Beach, Fla. — Emerald Coast Theatre Company’s Educational Program is proud to present Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 7pm. A cast of eccentric characters meet at a mansion, only to become suspects of a murder that a singular genius detective will eventually solve. But what happens when all the suspects are the detectives? Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, Miss Marple, and even Batman are just a few of the guests. Join us for this one-act straight play that is written specifically for teens. Students will hone their craft in this play, focusing on comedic timing and building suspense through character and ensemble work. Parents, watch your kids excited and delighted at the final performances.

Bringing this play to our stage has been a wonderful experience. The students have had a lot of fun learning about iconic detectives, like Sherlock Holmes, Sam Spade and Miss Marple, and more modern characters like the Scooby Gang and Batman. This production is a parody that will have the audience laughing throughout the show. We’re really excited to bring it to our stage. – Heath Carroll, Education and Outreach Director
