Miramar Beach, Fla. (Jan. 8, 2017) — Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) presents “A Mark Twain Storybook,” the second Professional Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) production of its 5th anniversary season.

“A Mark Twain Storybook” will be staged on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. in ECTC’s performance space located upstairs at 560 Grand Boulevard in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin in Miramar Beach.

Public performances are Jan. 27 and Feb. 3. Tickets are $10 per person. Children age 3 and under are free. Proceeds benefit ECTC and its Theatre Education programs. (The Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 performances are reserved for Field Trips.)

A troupe of actors re-tell some of Mark Twain’s most popular stories in the quarto-centennial edition of America’s most loved traveling show. Audiences will “meet” Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Legend of Sagenfeld, Adam and Eve and The Interviewer.

“Literature coming to life on stage, what could be more exciting, inspiration, and wonderful?” asks Emerald Coast Theatre Company Producing Artistic Director Nathanael Fisher.

ECTC’s TYA program showcases professional actors performing productions especially selected for young audience members. “A Mark Twain Storybook” is intended for ages 6 and up. The cast includes: Anastasia Dengerud (Panama City Beach), Dylan Garofalo (Santa Rosa Beach), Josh Birdsong (Niceville). The show is directed by Nathanael Fisher and stage managed by Teagan Faust.

ECTC’s TYA program for 2017-2018 continues with two additional productions. “Aesop’s Fables” (appropriate for all ages) will be staged Fridays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. from April 6 to 14.
