A spring or fall trip is not complete without lunch or dinner at the Old Florida Fish House.  Gregory the  server provides samples of the local draft beers that affirmed his recommendations to accompany local seafood. The pecan crusted snapper is delicious as well as the grouper oyster platters. The prices are reflective of the marketplace but the quality of the food and service makes it a bargain.

Tucked back on a lake off 30A, the interior is new, relaxed, spacious, and well appointed. Cool drum chandeliers, metal chairs, white table cloths. We liked the different areas to dine: the screened porch with private bar and tv, to the sushi bar, to the entertainment bar area, to the lakeside room with water views. Arrived before 6pm and got the early bird special: 25% off entrees! Also a version of a Rum Runner for $5. The hostesses were great and personable. Our waiter Dennis was so outstanding that we commented on his service and style. I had the special Mahi Mahi that was truly amazing with a pineapple and cream sauce! All portions were very large and prices were on the moderate side but worth it! Key lime pie can not be missed Located on 30A, sitting directly on Eastern Lake. Open for lunch daily at 11am, dinner at 5pm. Watch your favorite sports team on our multiple TV’s on The Porch. Live music. Happy hour daily 4-6. OLD FLORIDA FISH HOUSE MENU fish
