Friday, July 4 The Bowery: Geoff McBride treats his fans to melodic masterpieces that can best be described as extraordinarily positive musical celebrations of life, love and the human spirit from 8-11 p.m. at The Bowery On Thirty-A, 2052 W. County Hwy. 30A in Santa Rosa Beach. ArtWalk: Enjoy live music, works of art and artist demos at the First Friday ArtWalk from 5-8 p.m. at Ruskin Place in Seaside. Rosalina: Rosalina plays classic standards and show tunes on keyboard from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Fridays at Christiano’s Ristorante in Santa Rosa Beach.  Reservations recommended at 267-2185. Biophilia Center: The Biophilia Center will be closed in July.   Saturday, July 5 Mermaid Tea Party: An imaginative collaboration of artists Mercedes Rodgers and Sol Davis, Mermaid Tea Party opens from 7-9 p.m. at Amavida Rosemary in North Barrett Square in Rosemary Beach. The two explore the whimsical possibilities of what an underwater tea party would look like. Beach clean-up: The South Walton Community Council’s annual July 5th beach clean-up begins at 7 a.m. to clean up debris from fireworks and other Independence Day activities. Locations are Miramar Beach, Dune Allen Beach, Ed Walline Park, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Santa Clara Beach in Seagrove, Inlet Beach and Seaside. A coordinator will provide trash bags, gloves and bottled water to volunteers. Bring chairs and blankets. 30A Farmers’ Market: This community event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays and Thursdays in Town Center in Rosemary Beach features fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs, honey, cheese and more.   Monday, July 7 Groovin’ On The Green: Enjoy free musical entertainment with The Rowdies from 7-9 p.m. on the Village Green in Carillon Beach. Bring beverage, chairs or blankets and coolers. Reggae Cruise: A Summer Sunset Reggae Cruise on the Solaris with legendary Bob Marley guitarist, Junior Marvin, leaves Baytowne Marina in Sandestin  at 7 p.m. Cost is $100 per person, including three-hour cruise, concert and authentic Jamaican dinner. Grand Boulevard Farmers’ Market: The new market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Grand Park between Cantina Laredo and Tommy Bahama’s.Vendors will offer locally sourced food-based items including produce, eggs, milk, butter, grass-fed beef, chicken, lamb, and pork, honey, pickled vegetables and gourmet jams.   Thursday, July 10 Beach Blast: Elephant Walk restaurant in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort will have a free evening of entertainment on the beach at 6 p.m. Activities include beach bonfires, live music by Bo Adams, children’s activities, bounce houses, face painting, balloon sculpting, a photo lounge, s’mores, and a fireworks show. Magical Thursday: Captain Davy performs a magic show from 7-9 p.m. in the Events Plaza at Baytowne Wharf. Workshop: The Walton County Board of Commissioners will hold a Workshop at 9 a.m. at the Walton County Courthouse in DeFuniak Springs. Shrimp Boil: Grayton Beach Catering hosts a sunset shrimp boil and bonfire on the beach at 6 p.m. GBC provides dinner, bonfire with S’mores, beach chairs, music, soda and water.
