Beach Status Update – Tar Washes Ashore in Walton County in Isolated Area BP Crews respond immediately, conducting removal WALTON COUNTY, Fla.–April 10, 2010–BP Crews are currently responding to some material that has washed up in an isolated area of South Walton beaches from Topsail Hill State Park to Grayton Beach State Park. BP has collected samples for chemical analysis testing and should have the results soon. In the meantime, BP crews are removing the product and are tracking how much product is removed from the beach. Crews picked up approximately 25 pounds of tar balls this morning. They are still working the beaches from Topsail Hill State Park to Grayton Beach. There are three teams working this area, two eight (8) man teams and one four (4) man team for a total of twenty (20) workers on Walton County beaches
