Beach Chamber’s Navigator To Hold Lunch & Learn Workshop: “Marketing Without Money” Panama City Beach (March 9, 2011) – On Thursday, March 24, Navigator, the Beach Chamber’s small business initiative, will present another Lunch & Learn workshop called “Marketing Without Money.”  This presentation will be given by Dr. Stan Lindsay from Florida State University, and it be held at FSU PC’s Holley Academic Center from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  The workshop will include a catered, hot lunch. Public Relations is known as “Earned Marketing” as compared to Advertising, a.k.a. “Paid Marketing.”  You don’t spend money when a newspaper, radio station or TV station runs a news story about your business, organization, product or service – but most business people are not aware of what kinds of stories actually get published or reported…and get attention from the public.  This session will teach attendees how to get PR value out of their story.  Attendees will learn about the vast number of new resources for getting their marketing and PR messages out to the public.  Dr. Lindsay not only teaches this subject at FSU PC, he has personally used PR principles to develop the most successful college market insurance agency in the U.S.
This workshop is presented by the Beach Chamber, and co-sponsored by FSU PC, Gulf Coast Community College and the Small Business Development Center.  Cost for the Lunch & Learn workshop is $9 for Students; $12 for Beach Chamber Members; and $20 for Non-Members.  To register, contact Marta Rose at the Beach Chamber at (850) 235-1159 or Marta@PCBeach.org.
