In January and February, Escape to Create’s talented artists are taking the REP stage to showcase their craft during their residency in Seaside. Praised as masters of their craft throughout the UK, Nicholas Collett and Gavin Robertson deliver the subtle nuanced performances that set a new record for ticket sales on the West End. Screening a selection of her awarded experimental and short films, Caitlin Horsmon discusses her unique approach to the art of cinema and media arts. Tickets available at LoveTheREP.com   Ryan Heinlein with Escape to Create Friday, January 22, at 7:30PM From the forefront of the redhot Kansas City Jazz scene, composer and trombonist Ryan Heinlein presents an entertaining multi-media musical journey featuring recordings by his fusion band, Project H. Tickets available at LoveTheREP.com   Adam Kraar with Escape to Create  Wednesday, January 27 at 7:30PM Actors from across the region revive The REP’s popular script-in-hand readings with playwright Adam Kraar’s lyrical drama Dream Of A Deer At Dusk. Finalist for the National Playwrights Conference, the plot centers on an idealistic 15-year-old girl’s determination to rescue a 27-year-old autistic man from the persecution of their small town. Tickets available at LoveTheREP.com   Other performances and events in January at the REP include:   “10 Towns that Changed America” with PBS Host Geoffrey Baer  Monday, January 11th at 7:30PM  A whirlwind tour of 10 towns that changed the face of city planning, including a Spanish colonial town in Florida, William Penn’s Philadelphia, the Mormon plan for Salt Lake City, an early suburb near Chicago, a beach town on the Gulf Coast, and Portland’s Pearl District. Monday, January 18th to Monday, February 22nd at 3:45PM  The REP’s Improv Bootcamp classes are all about having fun and learning to think on your feet! This 6 week improv workshop is for kids ages 4-14. Our creative classroom space sets the tone for a fun-filled exploration of the art of comedy. Students learn short and long form improv, comedic character work, and more! Students will show off their new improv skills for their friends and family on The REP stage at The REP’s Improv Army Showcase.
